Follow Discover → Diagnose → Execute → Optimize. Use this guide to prepare decisions, not as a substitute for platform policy, legal advice, or a client-specific operating review.

Map the whole growth path

Start with the buyer journey: how products are discovered, what information earns the click, what helps a shopper decide, and what happens after the order. A feature that enters one stage can change the data, content, service, and measurement required by the next.

Review four effects together: discovery and qualified reach; product-page engagement and conversion; media cost, attribution, and contribution margin; and new workflow triggers, exceptions, or human-review needs. Confirm the announcement’s exact eligibility, availability, costs, and setup in the relevant seller account before making a plan.

Turn the release into an owned workflow

Define the desired business outcome, signal source, baseline, threshold, owner, response time, decision rights, and fallback. Route only meaningful exceptions to a work queue; keep routine status in reporting. A dashboard can show the signal, but it does not assign ownership or confirm resolution.

A continuous loop should detect a deviation, explain why it matters, notify the right owner, support the next action, require human approval where judgment or customer impact calls for it, and verify that the issue cleared. Log misses and false alarms so thresholds improve over time.

Do not let an agent change bids, prices, product claims, customer outcomes, or account settings without approved limits and an accountable human. Start with read-only detection, test against historical cases, and expand automation only when accuracy, access controls, and recovery paths are understood.

Measure economics, not announcement activity

Choose a small scorecard: qualified discovery, product engagement, conversion, contribution after media and fulfillment costs, exception volume, time to resolution, and customer impact. Compare like-for-like products or periods and note when attribution is incomplete.

Pilot one category, channel, or workflow with a named owner and review date. Continue only when the change improves a useful business outcome without creating unacceptable margin, service, policy, or operational risk.

Use this free resource on your own, or bring it to a free 15-minute fit call. A separate paid 60-minute assessment ($350–$750) produces a one-page scorecard, prioritized risks, a 30-day action plan, scope and quote.
